# Connect Wallet & Account

* Open the platform and connect your OKX Wallet.
* On your first connection, you will create a trading account tied to your wallet. Authentication is entirely signature-based: you sign a cryptographic message with your wallet to create and authorize the account. There are no passwords, and the platform never takes custody of your funds.
* Your account uses a set of trading keys authorized by that signature to place and manage orders securely on-chain.
